Terms of Service

The service

obfus.link ("the Service") is a developer utility grid operated by Subether Labs, LLC. It exposes 31 deterministic developer tools on three surfaces: a web UI, an MCP server, and headless JSON/Markdown views for AI crawlers. The Service is provided to individuals and automated agents ("you") under these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Submit prompt-injection payloads, jailbreak attempts, or instruction-poisoning content as tool input. The Service implements automated detection and will reject these with SECURITY_VIOLATION — repeated attempts may result in IP-level rate limiting or ban.
• Generate obfuscated links pointing at illegal content, malware, phishing pages, credential harvesting forms, or material that violates third-party rights.
• Bypass rate limits via IP rotation, browser fingerprint cycling, or other circumvention. Per-tool limits exist to prevent abuse; if you need higher throughput, use the MCP endpoint with an SPT or purchase a Day Pass.
• Scrape, mirror, or reverse-engineer the Service for the purpose of building a competing product, except where such activity is permitted by mandatory law.
• Use the Service in a way that breaches applicable export-control or sanctions law.

The Service additionally enforces a destination-URL allow-list on the Link Obfuscator: private IP ranges, loopback addresses, link-local addresses (including cloud-metadata endpoints), and non-network schemes (javascript:, data:, file:) are rejected at creation time. This is a technical enforcement of the acceptable-use rules above, not a waiver of them.

Billing — MCP / API

Agent access to tools beyond the 50-call lifetime free tier requires a Shared Payment Token (SPT) issued via Stripe's Machine Payments Protocol. Calls are billed per-tool at the rates published on the Pricing page. Charges accrue against your Stripe customer record and are invoiced according to Stripe's standard metered-billing cadence. Failed tool executions (SECURITY_VIOLATION, INPUT_MALFORMED, etc.) are not billed.

Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice via the unit_price_micros field of the MPP challenge response and on the Pricing page. Existing SPT balances remain valid at the price in effect when they were purchased.

Billing — $1 Day Pass

The web UI offers a $1 USD Day Pass that unlocks unlimited tool usage from the browser for 24 hours. The pass is non-refundable, single-browser (it lives in an httpOnly cookie), and expires automatically. No account is created. Closing your browser does not invalidate the pass; switching browsers does.

Intellectual property

The Service's source code, design, and documentation are the property of Subether Labs, LLC. Tool outputs (e.g. generated Zod schemas, mangled code, encrypted short URLs) are owned by you and the Service claims no rights over them. The deterministic transforms the tools perform are not unique works of authorship and we make no copyright claim on what comes out of them.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of tool output. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance or due to third-party outages. The Service may revise tool behaviour or remove tools at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Subether Labs, LLC and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Subether Labs in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Subether Labs, LLC harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your violation of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you submit to the Link Obfuscator that infringes third-party rights or violates applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including but not limited to violation of these terms or detected abuse patterns. Any prepaid SPT balance will be refunded on a pro-rata basis to the original payment method. Day Pass purchases are non-refundable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
